Well... if nothing else, you ought to have noticed the improvement in the block's 'grip' on the threaded end of the tremolo arm. The original Fender steel block (I have a couple) is markedly better than any later cast version, whether made for Fender or anyone else.

I would have to take issue with my learned friend on this subject.
I fitted a Callaham block and stainless steel tremolo arm to my
CS Strat some eight years ago. The "floppy" arm syndrome has never
been a problem since.
As to the sound. I believe there has been some improvement.

Other benefits include;
My shirts are so much whiter and fresher since this installation
My car has shown a marked improvement in fuel efficiency.
Both of my dogs have shown a marked improvement in behaviour.
Mr Callaham's bank balance has increased considerably.
And finally;
My chances of winning the lottery have now increased due to the
fact that I've started buying a ticket.

I should state that not everyone might notice the above benefits.
Always read the small print.

Or in Ecca's case the large print.

Y'all come back soon now y'hear. :D :D :D

At the time I had done a mod that you may remember that involved me silver soldering a bush to the end of a spare trem arm and fitting an M5 screw into the block so the thread issue was irrelevant.
No, sorry, not a scrap of difference did I notice.

And..... old farty pants........ you only play your guitar once every six months, the reason you notice changes is because dementia has set in.

Hi everyone
I tried out a Classic Vibe for the first time when buying my new amp earlier in the year and thought it was an absolutely beautiful guitar to play and it seemed lighter than my Strats too. While away I bought a back up guitar - a Squier Bullet - which by chance happened to be a red one too so even better. I only played it unplugged but apart from the bridge needing adjustment as it was set flat to the body, I was very impressed with it too and it seemed easier to play than my Strats.
Here's a picture:

I've left it in NSW for next time though it would have been nice to have brought it home too.
Best wishes

We offered this guitar in Fiesta Red color at our SAMSHAD 18 meeting as the first prize of our raffle.
This is a very good quality/price ratio for a guitar !!
The winner was very excited and played immediately with it !!
We recommend it !!

We bought one of this guitar in Fiesta Red last February in project for a raffle organised during our next French Official Shadows Fan Club Festival. The event will take place next June 9th. The guitar is very nice one with a very attractive price. Hope the winner will enjoy it. We bought it in February from Milonga Music Shop of Rennes (French Britanny). Price € 329.... :)

Thats the exact same one I purchased, and in red too(on my avatar) whilst in Canada a couple of years ago Rosemary. It was originally intended to be left out there for keeping in practice on further visits but I immediatelly fell in love with it and took it home with me. It is now my main guitar and play it every day. I did have to do a bit of work on it in respect of tidying up the neck and intonation and I do still have to change the trem unit but its a great purchase for the meagre amount of $132 Canadian I think. I've put Seymour Duncans on it and it sounds fantastic now, although it did still sound really good with the originals.
I purchased another one on my following visit and it is still out there awaiting my next holiday which is this week as a matter of fact :D

By the way....The neck on this instrument has no laquer or polish and is just plain white. I read on another site that you can use a few coats of brown Kiwi shoe polish rubbed in to the desired shade to make the finish more pleasing to the eye, then rub it til you get a good shine on it.
Has anyone tried this one out??? I'm kind of toying with the idea :roll: I may try it out on my other one in Canana in the next few weeks.
