Unfortunately, I have never been able to see Duane Eddy live. I would be interested in a live CD and/or DVD of a concert. Surprisingly, there has never been an official live recording of Duane. In 1963 there was the fake 'live' album "Duane Eddy In Person", but these were just the studio versions connected with applause. I do have two DVD's of 1970's and 1980's live television material, but the quality is quite fuzzy and the discs are from the grey area, I think.

Duane is now 74 and on Sunday night at the Queen Elizabeth Hall he made a comment about "may not be passing this way again" so anyone who has the chance to see him on this tour should take it.

For those in the UK and Europe who enjoy Duane's music as well as The Shadows, it's worth mentioning that the Duane Eddy Circle meets once a year in Central London and the event includes over an hour of live D.E. music from The Twang Gang. These guys have been coming together for over 25 years and make a great sound, with two lead guitarists, rhythm/pedal steel, tenor sax, two keyboard players, bass and drums plus, on several occasions, a couple of girl singers. The name you'll know is Spencer Scott, a stalwart of the ShadowMusic SouthEast club on rhythm /steel (and occasional lead - he does a great version of Spanish Armada), but all are very accomplished musicians.

The Circle meeting didn't happen this year because it clashed with Duane's tour, but normally it is on the Sunday of the Bank Holiday weekend at the beginning of May.

Hi Ray.
Many thanks for your kind words, looking back it would have been 34 years this year that I have been playing with the
Twang gang. Just goes to show how time fly,s when having fun.I have not been able to get to any of the shows as I have been
recording a cd of songs that Crispian St Peters left before his death.I am very pleased that all that attened the show ,s have
made very good reports.

A great day out at York yesterday culminating in the evening with - as Dave's already stated "another splendid set ....".
Good to meet Dave and other members of the Shadows website.
It was'nt quite as magical for me for two reasons:

a. I half knew what to expect - I went to Duane's York concert in October 2010.
b. My wife and I thought the sax player, although very good, did not have the same dynamic impact as Ron Dziubla who played previously at York.

Would I go to a 2013 Duane Eddy concert, if it materialised? - I certainly would!

Best wishes

Tony

Comparing notes yesterday with a former bandmate and we agreed that the other guitarist was introduced as Brian (or Bryan) Day not Shez Sheridan. Not sure why Shez wasn't there...

I understand the bulk of the London show is now on YouTube (although I have yet to view it myself)
