Tolo - The Album

Postby tolo » 09 Jul 2012, 18:53

Hello everyone...

I am very pleased and excited to announce the release of my new Album 'Flesh & Blood' - available now on CD and very soon to download at iTunes, Amazon, Zune, Play.com etc..

The tracks have been fully remixed by myself and I am so proud that it has been beautifully mastered by legendary, Grammy nominated Andy Jackson (Final Cut, Momentary Lapse of Reason, Pulse, Division Bell, Gilmour in Gdansk and On an Island)... The songs sound so much better on CD (to me anyway!) - and they can really breathe.

So - if you are interested in ordering a copy of the CD - please follow the link below. I would love to know what you think.

Been quite a journey for me - the songs tell part of the tale - but thanks to all of you for your support and encouragement to date, I really appreciate it.

Best to all,

Tony

Keeping very well, Tony - I hope it is the same with you.
Go to Leos Den website and get Pats phone number off it and give her a call. You never know.
Leos Den is THE place for all things Cliff and The Shadows and related musicians.
Gotta be worth a call.
cheers

Your production values and music technique along with your originality far outweighs the retail cost of your work Tony. It really is a shame that a wider buying public won't have the knowlege to make you a good return on your work. However having said that, I'll certainly be one of your customers.

As an aside, I think that the CD format is coming to it's conclusion Tony, a lot of the present market is d/loadable MP3 for i-Pods etc.
Good luck (you don't really need that)

Brian

I think Bri is sadly correct - the CD may well come to an end because the vast majority of so-called "music" bought today has no real value and remains in the public ear for only a fleeting moment before the next piece of Junk comes out. Its all about making money and has nothing to do with "music".
Audio quality is now very much in second place and we happily accept a 128kps mp3 as being of acceptable quality. What then is the point of quality musicians like Tony taking time and effort to give superb dynamics and depth to his work only for us to DL it at a rubbish bit-rate and stick in a crappy ipod etc with awful earpieces? Why cannot the DLs be at say 320 or even as wma??
Buy the CD !!
End of rant !!
cheers

Hi Tony, coming back on this one. Listening to your website music, tracks can be recorded in realtime which isn't the right thing for folk to do, but it will unfortunatley happen.

Nearly all my stuff has an audio watermark inserted rather than provide a mono or low bit rate promo clip. This obviously then stops such recording piracy when recording a song to a hard drive. Perhaps you may consider inserting a beep spoiler which is provided by Voxengo. It's available for Windows and Mac. Here's the link.

Or this is an example I use on occasions.
