OK I'll try.

Although we are branded as 'dee dahs' here in Sheffield, it's something that I seldom hear or have ever used.

'Dee' is slang for 'thee' or 'you' - 'Dah is slang for 'thou' - basically it's thee and thou in slang, ridiculous.

Example in use "Now then dee dah bleeder" = in normal language "Hey you horrible person" . . . . or similar. :?

So is "Lah Dee Dah" a posh Sheffield person?

(The pup is nothing to do with this conversation but I think he's a nice pup).

I would like to add that my negativity towards the Meazzi is actually borne from an early experience back in 1963 when we were starting out. Our manager at the time (the drummer's dad) stumped up the deposit for three black Vox AC30 amps, one of them a bass model, the other two being AC30/6 types non TB. He also brought in a Meazzi Factotum PA system that was crap from day one, as it had the designated speaker columns in grey & grey, each with a half a dozen six inch speakers installed. The experts of the time struggled to get a sound worthy of calling decent out of it and we ended up getting our money back and going for home made 2 x 12 cabs loaded with Goodmans , driven by a Leak amp & Varislope pre-amp coupled to a Duvidal four channel mixer - Happy days, but at least that worked !

At another venue some years later at The Boot And Shoe Club in Leicester, I was almost electrocuted by a Meazzi that had been placed in front of my amp by the supporting act, which needed moving before we could start - the blasted chassis was live !!!

I would add that I recently heard Justin's Meazzi and although extremely noisy, sounded right, though I still say that the tone came from his amp, so I still wouldn't have one, too much hassle. 8-)
