My Vox DelayLab also arrived this morning and I'm in agreement with Dave on this, I think you have to spend time on the settings.
I managed to get most of the Shads echos I wanted fairly quickly, once I figured out the head spacing !! I play in a pub band, mainly rock/blues stuff, only very occasionally will we throw in a Shads number, so I'm not looking for anything exact, close enough will do. As Dave says, most people would not notice.
Other than the manual being pretty useless and me not being familiar with Vox effects, I think it's a great unit. Lots of capability and variations, most of which I won't use. I reckon it's good value for money and a great all rounder, well built too.
Both my Quads are on their last legs, so this is an ideal replacement.
Cheers
Stu
