Hankies ....

Postby ecca » 29 Aug 2012, 08:55

Last night was a good night.
I played through Tony's 1963 AC 15 and Keith's 'new' Meazzi and I have to say what a good sound.
Best Meazzi yet, I'm not a big fan normally, it was the first one I've played through that was OK.

Also we now have a non-handle type laptop computer for the BTs, an electric one.
This makes the buggers play quicker all right, there was always time for a cob or two ( last night's were spectacular ) in between sorting out the relevant BT to play, some on a 78 RPM record.
Also, also, Amanda's little dog, Mitzi has grown al least 12 thou taller since last week.
All in all,jolly satisfactory.
(I got to take my L5 back to PMT today, there's a strange vibration developed on playing chords, it seems to be something to do with the bridge pick-up.)

Just fitted a new Agfa PEM 468 tape to the Meazzi and it sounds even better, just getting used to all tha head switches/tape speed etc to get 'The sound'

I'm not desperate to flog it, but it cost me £800 and it's a minter so £650 I reckon is a fair price - it sounds the biz.
