Good night tonight.
Keith took his Meazzi which sounded great. I could actually hear real wow and flutter instead of contrived wow and flutter.
I took my recently completed ( today !) etap2hw echo kit which I can only describe as sensational.
Great night, I had the whole kit, I'd built the guitar ( Black Malcolm ) , I'd built the amp and now I've built the echo.
Hats off to Piet for a masterpiece !
God save the queen !

How did your echo compare with the Meazzi?

Hi Alan, Being very honest it stood up very well, i was very impressed as i had only heard it on some sound files, I have only just bought this Meazzi and am getting used to all the complexities of it, theres definately something special about the sound/tone of the echomatic (its had the headspacings and varispeed motor and complete rebuild/refurb) cheers Keith

Hi Keith, thanks for the info, I don't doubt that there good Meazzi's out there, although up until now I haven't heard terribly many. ;) It looks as though Piet's work (particularly the price), could be a serious rival to Charlie's unit when it becomes available. Now to see if I can get someone to make one up for me. :D

I'll make em up now I've made one but the problem might be the box..... the one I had made by my cousin in aluminium ( so I can drill it easily) and satin stainless would cost £25-30 but there are probably cheaper ones at Maplins or RS.
Also to be considered would be a label which I've not yet done.

I have posted in the other secton about hearing this new unit of Piets but will confirm again here in this thread it is excellent and I too want one. The costs make this a tremendous option but the sounds and various echo types are there and I thought it was great.
