but do lack the computer skills,type plainsong live 2012
wonder if they will issue a cd of the farewell tour

They were interviewed on the Bob Harris Show last Saturday night/Sunday morning on Radio 2. I was on the way home from a gig and unfortunately only caught the last 15 minutes. I managed to hear a few of the live songs they performed, it sounded fantastic, superb harmonies. No doubt the interview is available to stream from somewhere on the interweb.

Hi, Moondawg. I think I can tell you how to upload YouTube videos. You can put more than one in the same post if you wish, you just put one per line of type like this:

First video here
Second video here
Third video here

OK, here is what you do:

Open a second window on your computer. You would currently have at least one window open now, displaying this Shadows site. You'll be toggling between the two windows. Go to YouTube in the second window, and bring up one of the Plainsong videos. For example, I found one called: Plainsong - Under The Volcano | Nijmegen Trianon | NL | September 3 2012 .

Use your cursor and highlight the URL which is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AHaOsdjGEc Then click on CONTROL and then the letter C. This is a shortcut for COPY.

Toggle over to the ShadowMusic website, create a new post, and paste this link into the post. Easiest way is to paste is to hit CONTROL and the letter V, which is a shortcut for PASTE. It should look like this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AHaOsdjGEc

Then, highlight the whole URL. Go to the top of your post and click the box that says youtube
It should put brackets before and after the url. If you hit the PREVIEW, it will look like this:

as wanted to let members and guest see the vidoes
and leegrant, as was not aware of the b.b.c. radio show featuring plainsong
its great hearing u.k. radio,as i live the the u.s.,and to hear cliff,the shadows and solo members on the internet
really is enjoyable,especially the music they play on u.s. radio is harmful to my ears

I found a few photos of Mark Griffiths on the internet, from when he was with various bands prior to The Shadows. I thought I'd post a few, in case anyone likes them...I did.

The Plainsong concert last Sunday was held at the Union Chapel in Islington, London. This is a real chapel that is used as a concert venue and the acoustics are superb. I was in the audience and can confirm that it was a wonderful concert, the last ever by Plainsong in the UK (this was their final tour). Mark Griffiths was his usual self-effacing self but his bass-playing and harmony singing contributed enormously to the overall sound.

The other members of Plainsong are Iain Matthews, Andy Roberts and Julian Dawson, all of whom have separate solo careers. I understand that Iain Matthews will be reviving another of his bands, Matthews Southern Comfort, in the near future and Mark Griffiths (who was in the original MSC at the time of their hit Woodstock) will be playing one, just one, gig with the band.
