What a good night we had ! Good band, good sound, good chat with Bob on the desk. Only thing was that Mr. Bakewell forgot to take my photo in my new jacket. I looked splendid. My mate Steve Green played rather well on the percussion, and Mark dropped very few almightys. Jolly good !
You know the greatest part of last night was, without a doubt, Ecca's Blazer. No, just joking. The audience's obvious enjoyment of the occasion. Now, whatever turn you are you're there to entertain. And, that objective was achieved in bucketloads last night. The sound was first class. Partly thanks to some bloke at the back of the auditorium. ( I'm sure I've seen his picture somewhere before ). The mix of tunes, some old, some even older, was great. The venue is an excellent place. Parking is easy and access to the theatre is a piece of cake. Talking of pieces of cake, I bought Ecca an Apple thing last night. ( As well as his coffee ) I'm not saying it was expensive but I took out a personal loan to pay for it. The view from all areas of the theatre is good and the overall production was first class. The only minor drawback was the people who came in the interval and asked Ecca for two Choc Ices, a Jumbo Hotdog and a carton of Kia Ora. And the bloke who asked if he'd bought his Ukelele and was he going to sing "When I'm cleaning windows". Other than that, a great night. Thanks lads, I had a great time.
Cheers, Alan.
To know and have known the love of a little dog is a truly wonderful thing.
Now look, if I come to the Bootie Shad''s next gig will someone please promise to take a picture of me in my jacket ? If not I won't come. It's all that AlicaBababa Bakewell's fault.......
Glad you both could make it - really good to see you again.
Ecca looked resplendent in his new jacket - and no wonder the coffee and cake cost a fortune, the till probably mistook the jacket for a giant bar code !!
Ec - If you're at the next (and my final) Booties Gig - then I'll take the picture personally !!
