The Beatles with a snippet of the Shadows

I beginning to believe that we only ever had one major recording artist/group and that was the Beatles, what happened to all the other successful artist ?

The Who and Led Zeppelin are also among my all time favourites.

I suppose at the end of the day both groups are totally different, by the late 60's the Shadows were into variety wearing tuxedos and the Beatles were into psychedelic music (Pepper etc) so they were in different areas of music. I couldn't see the Beatles playing 'Talk of the town' and singing 'Helter Skelter!'.

It was Sleepwalk not Wonderful Land on the One Show.

On last nights ITV programme "1962 - Love Me Do" - Wonderful Land was used as background music! It also stated that George Martin was not happy with Pete Best's style of drumming and so he was replaced by Ringo! Goearge Martin didnt think he was much better and got Any White to drum on Love Me Do and a few other releases!

You had me searching all over www.itv.com for that programme.
