RIP Big Jim.

I hope you don't mind being corrected Martin,
The solo on 'My Baby Left Me' was in fact Jimmy Page.
Big Jim Sullivan played the solo's on 'The Crying Game' & 'One Heart Between Two', using the DeArmond 610 pedal, which inspired HBM to buy one for himself to try. 8-)

Thanks for that Dave...I can't remember where I got the info that it was Big Jim; regardless though, a fabulous solo. Never been a huge Jimmy Page fan previously so may have to re-adjust my thinking now!

A great loss of a superb musician...RIP Big JIm...

Interesting that, in the same way Cliff got a Strat for Hank, Marty Wilde gave Big Jim the goldtop Gibson Les Paul which he bought from Sister Rosetta Tharpe when she toured the UK in about 1957/8...

I first got to hear Big Jim on Brian's Change of Address Album.
Wow! he was brilliant.

There was a tribute played to him on Irish National Radio Yesterday.

May he rest in peace.

Dave.

You probably mean "Change Of Direction". "Change Of Address" is The Shadows' 1980 album.
