Lets face it you or I could have done this but its Vic Flicks legacy. He made a simple riff come alive!!

Vic Flick goes into it in detail in his book.

Vic Flick, Guitarman.

Another superb musician and a contemporary of the late great Big Jim Sullivan...

Wasn't it a Clifford Essex archtop with a DeArmond or similar clip on pickup through Vic's little Fender or Vox amp?

I read his book some months ago, but I can't recall exactly...

What actually is Vic's chord to conclude the piece? Never have quite worked it out!

Easy:

E - x
A - 10
D - 9
G - 8
B - 7
E - x

Key of E minor: essentially an E minor 9 chord with an augmented seventh.

You dirty rotten swine, Jim Nugent!!

I've been using that chord for years (usually with a B on top and open E on the bottom) as a finish for JB Theme, Secret Agent Man, Peter Gunn and other similar spy theme tunes...

Many guitar players have asked me "what was that chord?!!" and I always said it was a secret agent chord, and therefore a secret!

Now you've spilled the beans and they'll ALL be using it...we'll be out of work now... :(
