Mugwumps' Dad goes to the cat basket in the sky

Postby mugwumpsthecat » 08 Oct 2012, 13:55

It is with much sadness and deep regret that Mugwumps tells all her friends in The Shadow's community that her wonderful Dad died peacefully on Friday. Both Tony and I were with him. He had been ill for some time and this is why she has not yet thanked everyone for the fabulous ShadowMania weekend. Thanks too for the friendship from many over 30+ years. Dad met The Shadows on numerous occasions, they called him 'Dad', despite him being about 5 years older than them!! Dad had an eclectic taste in music and loved The Shadows. The first time we saw The Shads together was at Fairfields Halls, Croydon, we had choir seats, behind the band. I wasn't looking at Brian, but obviously Dad was, as Brian crashed down on the cymbals to start with 'Shazam', I leapt out of my skin! Dad found that so funny! RIP
Love from the cat basket, Mugwumpsthecat (aka Kaye) xxx
