Professional musicians etc happen by definition to earn their living by playing and selling recordings etc, and it's not fair that they should get nothing for something.

Would you work for nothing?

Altough Gillian's and Phil's videos are excellent, I would be delighted to buy professionally made DVD from Shadowmania...

Wouldn't we all, Didier, but unfortunately, unless you borrow the Tardis from Dr Who and pop back to 15th September with a team of professional cameramen and all the right equipment, it ain't gonna happen. Not to mention the packaging, the distribution, sorting out the royalties to Heaven knows who. Once you've done all that you would need a customer base somewhat larger than this community to make it pay.

Luckily YouTube's deal with the recording companies/publishers means that we amateurs can upload the music without worrying about the copyright theft police turning up.

I also would like to say thanks for all your time and effort used in producing and uploading your Shadowmania videos. I have enjoyed watching them all and will be doing so again many times in the near future I am sure.

Gillian/Phil - any news on the Shadowers' permission re the posting of videos? Such a shame if the last ever 'Mania won't be available in its entirety - and of course thanks for the tremendous effort so far.

Hi Gilly & Phil. I do feel sorry for you both, it seems to me that you've been a victim of your collective vid making ability. I know Gilly to be semi pro in this field (don't know about Phil) and the self imposed pressures to get stuff out & into the public domain and still retain your professional standards were immense. It is very stressful to do this and to produce to a self imposed time scale must have been horrendous.

You both are to be congratulated on your work and I have some understaning of the pressures you've both been under. Thank God it was the last one I hear you say
