We have been warmly welcomed, both at the Surrey Shadows Club in Hersham and at the Sussex Shadows Club in Seaford, and I would like to thank all of those who contributed to the organisation of these two events.
We arrived in paris at 1.30am with still some travel to do to get back home.
I hope to be able to post a few videos soon.

We would like to thank all members of Surrey Shadows Club and Sussex Shadows Club for their very very friendly receptions.
We've been there for the second time in Walton and we got this particular enthousiasm and warm welcome as we had last year. We met again the lovely people we discovered in 2011 confirming our mutual thoughts of twinning.
The Silver Shadows were brilliant as usual and in their Country version very attractive. Also our warm applause to the Rewind, a fantastic band of acoustic guitar players.
In Seaford, after a short night, it was the same and we discovered the same kindness and musicians. We particularly apreciate those who sang the Cliff Richard repertoire, which is not usual in France. You know how many people is speaking fluently english here ...
A particular thank to Bob Dore who played keyboards with us on Telstar.
So, once again, a great " Bravo " to Bob and Surrey team, and to Terry and Sussex team, and the whole audience in each town.

Then, if many people in this side of the Channel believe that English cooking is not good ... this is totally UNTRUE !!
They just have to follow us in Walton & Seaford and they will discover great cookers and fabulous meals, as we had there !!! We all apreciate.

The french annual meeting will be held in Milly la Forêt on April 6, 2013 ... doors are fully opened to those who want to share our mutual passion : The music of The Shadows.

Thank you to Surrey Shadows club for a great evening, we particularly enjoyed the Silver Shadows set, but my hatred of all things country and western and having to work sunday prevented us staying beyond two numbers of their country set, thanks for posting the Apollo 11 Telstar number, sorry I missed it live..

Our sincere thanks go to everyone involved with the delivery of the Surrey Shadows Club Musical Extravaganza event on the 24th November and to our wonderfully appreciative audience that filled our venue all the way to the end of the show, at just after midnight.

We are also most thankful to Barry Gibson (Mr Burns) for drawing the prize raffle of a Burns Cobra Guitar during the evening. It was won by Mark Winter who, as many people will know, is the fantastic drummer with The Undercover Shadows.

Our good friends from SHADOWMANIACS FRANCE have now returned safely home as you can see from the first video clip that has been kindly posted here by Didier Parot. More to come Didier?

Many thanks,

Bob Withrington
