We've deliberately called our new club (where I'm headed in 5 minutes) the West of Wales Shadows AND Guitar Club. So, although Shadows' music predominates,. it's open to other instrumental guitar music too. I guess there may come a time when we'd have to draw a line if a heavy metal guitarist turns up!

Hi John,
Noel summed it up perfectly 'catalyst not formula'. You might not want to change the old classics like Wonderful Land, Apache etc, etc, and I have to say I did'nt like Hank changing to that surf bit in 'The Savage' personaly, to me it sounds naff but you can if you wish, anything else you want to play and any covers that Hanks done over the years do what you want I'd love to hear some Gary Moore in there. Besides inserting new sounds into a track gives it a lift and makes you sound more professional. Do it.

Hi John

I agree, and for me these little surprises are a highlight of the Surrey club meetings.
