It does't matter one iota which guitar, amp or echo you have, if you can't do it justice, the thing won't magically play itself and sound like HBM and there is footage from the archives evidence to support this, described as follows.
On one of the Cliff & The Shadows TV specials, Apache is being played, albeit terribly with the player hidden in the shadows (literally) and when the player is illuminated it turns out to be Cliff with Hank's Strat through the Meazzi and Vox amp.
A very annoyed Hank appears by Cliff's side and Cliff says 'Don't Be Mad At Me - cue song . . . . .
So there you go, it's proof that if you are not very good, the real gear will never substitute talent.
The only way is practice, practice and more practice - only then will one be able to achieve the sound but the good news is you will be able to get it out of any reasonable kit.
