[quote="Uncleboko"]How many of those guitarists played in Nero & the Gladiators I wonder? {/quote]

As Jim says, the paulvernonchester site is very messy, but as far as I can tell, the answer is 'none of them'.

THE reference book for all UK instrumental enthusiasts is of course Trev Faull's 60s Brit-pop Instrumentals (I think Trev may have one or two copies left). In there you will find that Colin Green played on Entry Of The Gladiators, Joe Moretti on Hall Of The Mountain King, Colin Green again on Czardas, etc

And say there, Brutus, where is that king's pad?

Probably repeating myself, but I turned up at a certain church hall in Barnet to see Nero & the Gladiators in September 1962 only to find that they appeared the week before. However Screaming Lord Sutch & the Savages were on that night - with a very young scrawny Ritchie Blackmore and the other Savages sporting leopard skins!

Oh for a time machine!
