Why Jamie Cullum was there is beyond me, he's not even a guitarist!
It would have been nice if the Who did a mini set, they would have blown everyone away.

If the Stratpack concert was a celebration of the anniversary of the Fender Stratocaster, why didn't Brian May play one?

Alan - Brian May DID play one - at least in the early set with the Crickets.
When he played with Paul Rodgers, later in the show, he was using his 'Red Special'.

As my old teacher used to say, "Started well but slipped to his old ways shortly afterwards".

Perhaps there was nobody there from Fender to explain that the clue to which guitar to play was hinted at in the title.

Cheers, Alan.

I'd imagine that, given that May's guitar (and his technique for playing it) is such an integral part of the 'Brian May sound', he opted to use his regular set-up. It is a bit odd, given that the event was to salute the Strat, but I suppose he thought he was showing his support by turning up.
