The Silver Shadows at Arborfield!

Postby ShadsDrums » 22 May 2013, 15:16

Hi Folks

The Silver Shadows are putting together an evening of Shadows music and, if the mood takes us, some Cliff and "other" numbers. We're going to be at the Royal British Legion Club at Arborfield and we'll be performing from around 20:00 to 22:30. Entry is completely FREE and there is a great bar there too. Please come and join us on 28th May 2013 (next Tuesday evening) and enjoy some good Shadows music with us.

Venue details are:
The Royal British Legion Club
Eversley Road
Arborfield
RG2 9PR
Tel: 0118 9760360

If the evening is well attended, we may well stick it in the diary as a regular event. Please support us and come and have some fun!

Any questions, please send reply here or send Email to chris@thesilvershadows.com

Cheers
Chris

Hi Guys,

Would have loved to come next week, but as I explained to Eric I am without reliable wheels until 1st June.

Have a blast!

good luck with the show Chris, sad that Jean and I will not be able to make the show but if it is anything like the show the lads put on at Hersham in Surrey everyone will be in for a treat, SteveJ

Thanks for the replies, folks.

Steve, thanks so much for your kind words. Yes - it is really amazing (to us) that even when we don't get together for long periods, when we do it all just seems to fall into place. We keep saying "it's the chemistry" and it must be - the music just seems to flow whenever we get together.

We've had two evenings down there already but they were in January and February, with snow on the ground and 'orrible weather each time, so we didn't get too many people in to see us. However, we're hoping that Tuesday will bring some folks in and, if it works, we'll turn it into a regular thing.

Here's hoping that some of the people reading this will remember us from Hersham well enough to want to pop over on Tuesday 28th.

All the best
Chris

Hi Folks

Just looking for little reminders what the evening could be like at Arborfield on Tuesday and came across this track we played at Hersham just after Jet's sad demise.

WHOOPS!

It seems the gods are not with us - we can't go to the hall tonight due to unforseen circumstances. We've booked the hall again for Tuesday 11th June so fingers crossed nothing crops up which stops us from getting in there.

Please don't go to the hall tonight - it's OFF! :(

Cheers

May I suggest you edit your header posting with the revised date, Chris?

In case someone does what I initially did, reads the top line and goes no further. (Obviously I did later but only as an afterthought) :)
