The Secret World

Postby Keith Bateman » 22 Jun 2013, 17:54

I may be a bit late with this as the programme was originally broadcast in July 2010 but I don't remember seeing anything about it on here at the time.

'The Secret World' is an impressionist show similar to 'Dead Ringers' (with some of the same performers) and is currently being replayed on Radio Four Extra. This is the link to the iPlayer for Series 2, episode 4 http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/player/b012mzvm which was played this week and still has 5 days left. The relevant points to listen to are 0:02:18, 0:08:06 and 0:14:00.

I was bemused that they chose John Farrar rather than Bruce who I think would be the more well-known.

I didn't find it that funny but it may amuse some ;)

Hmm, seems Bruce got away with it! Wonder if they realised John Farrar is Australian, or perhaps he doesn't have an Aussie accent!

Bizarre and not the slightest bit amusing. Actually that goes for the whole show, not just the Shads bit.

I really enjoy British humour, but found this underwhelming. Maybe it's because I'm in the Colonies. :)
