Nowadays Martin Cilia & The Atlantics produce some really good surf instros! My band play quite a few in our repertoire.

Their '60s recordings were definitely Shadows-inspired rather than surf. Note their use of echo rather than reverb and Jim Skiathitis's main influences, quote: "Hank Marvin, Hank Marvin and Hank Marvin!".

The Atlantics are currently touring in Italy, Finland and Greece. They'll be next saturday at the annual Instrumental Musick ("Rautalanka" as they call it there) Festival in Nastolan (Finland).
