Aha... still on the market then...
This thing was offered to me some while back, and just on the very remotest chance that it had any sort of provenance I contacted Paul who filled me in on what he knew of it (see Paul's message above). Even if it had been some sort of genuine Burns experiment, I couldn't see that given that Burns are nicely styled, and that it was post Marvin, that they would make something so ugly, and use Fender style headstocks. They'd have used current necks of the time etc., etc. - so I wasn't hopeful that Paul was going to say anything particularly positive about it.
I figured that I'd offer the seller a modest amount just so I could dismantle it for the genuine Burns parts, but my offer and the asking price were poles apart!
Maybe it's one of those 'boomerang' guitars (that just won't go away)... or a re-occurring bad dream Paul!
