Absolutely brilliant! An amazing clash of styles. I had several EBB LPs in the late 60s / early 70s! Totally bizarre. I read an interview with EB some years ago. He was horrified (whilst preparing the final mix of "A D Boogie") to discover that someone at Harvest (an EMI offshoot progressive label) decided that it was a great idea to invite Hank B Marvin along & he duly turned up. Strange though it sounds, Edgar B had been a great Shadows' fan as a youngster. Although a bit of a spoof, "A D B" had also been meant as something as a wacky tribute. Apparently Edgar was genuinely worried that Hank would hate the track, be insulted etc., etc. Hank was absolutely fine about it - if maybe a little bemused. After the mixing session they spent a happy hour or two reminiscing, talking about the eary British music scene, guitars / guitarists etc., etc. I recall Edgar saying: "He was very nice. All teeth, smiles and glasses.." (or something along those lines). FAB!!
