New Tricks

Has anyone been watching the new series of New Tricks?

The theme music by Warren Bennett seems to me to have taken a turn in the 'Gypsy Jazz' direction - what do you think?

No Luigi, I was meaning the incidental music that occurs during episode 4 of the current series - the episode is called "The Little Brother" and if you use IPlayer there is a good example of what I mean at around 23:30

Hi Roger - Found it ! Yes sounds like something from Django's repertoire with the sax and guitar.
I wouldn't of known it was written by Warren unless you had said.
Here is a link...

Warren has picked up a very varied writing style over the years. Most likely the influence of his old man.

"I wouldn't of known it was written by Warren...."?

Wouldn't of? - Wouldn't HAVE you mean surely?

I also "would not have" known it was Warren.
Lovely piece of music, maybe a little shade of Midnight in Moscow.
Cara Emerald's new album also seems to follow the Vaudeville/Gypsy jazz trend.
Once again the Shads influence leads the way.
Any chance of doing it at the next meeting ? Roger and Phil ?

There is a long-time connection with Dennis Waterman isn't there?

Didn't Brian produce a couple of his albums - and didn't Hank play on one.

I used to have the So Good for You album by DW - and it had some great tracks on it: Love's Left Me Bleeding,Love's Like a Rainbow. Produced by Chris Neil I think. Shame it's not on CD.
