NEW NAME - NEW VENUE

Postby dogbender » 16 Sep 2013, 20:23

Pete Fisher has resigned and wishes to have no further contact with the Newbury Shadows Guitar Club.

As a resident of Stockcross, he was able to hire the hall at the reduced rate but his resignation means that we would have to pay the higher non-resident rate, making the club not financially viable.

Because of his resignation, the September club night was the last but we are moving to a new venue just off junction 16 of the M4.

New Name:
North Wilts Shadows Club

New Venue:
Hook Village Hall,
opp: Hook Street,
Hook,
Wiltshire,
SN4 8EA

Club Dates:
Monday 7th October, 2013.
Monday 4th November, 2013
Monday 2nd December, 2013.

Club Times:
8pm to 11pm.

Cost:
£5 to play / £2 for visitors.

Refreshments:
FREE!

Directions: Take Junction 16 (Wootton Bassett exit) off the M4 to the second roundabout and turn right to Hook (3rd exit).
Hook is the first place you come to and the hall is the last building on the left (set back) with plenty of free parking.
Its about 2.6 miles from the M4.

Come and play or sing to your backing tracks in a friendly atmosphere.

Pete, Chris and Jackie (the management).

As I only live 10 mins from Stockcross - it's (personally) a great pity that the 3rd meeting on Sept 13th proved to be the last one (only 3 events held there!). Good luck to Pete & Jackie with their new venture near Wootton Bassett. Let's hope that the North Wilts Club hits the ground running. I'm already committted elsewhere for Monday nights during October - November, but hope to see people down near W B come the new year. Keep on twangin'!
