Hi all
Getting into the MW and F era we are now talking some very high qualiy vocals and dont forget the Shadows started life as a vocal group , backing Cliff.

Agreed MWF didn't get a lot of the credit they were due and far better quality and ability on vocal harmonies than any Beatles tracks. On the subject of personal opinions, mine in particular is that as far as musical garbage goes then to me most of the Stones stuff, the majority of Rod Stewarts stuff and all of Michael Jackson,Robbie Williams And Michael Buble, to name just a few fall into this category. But thats just my opinion and mine only unless others here either agree or disagree.
I'm sure I'll get the sh-t hitting the fan now!,, ; D-

No, the actual lyrics themselves are the most important factor. The singing has to be right, of course, but the other factor that adds poignancy to Eleanor Rigby is George Martin's string arrangement.
