Phil I must congratulate you on all this very hard labour of love, videoing, editing and posting all these videos,it must take hours and hours, and it's so good for everyone that never went to Lakeside to see the show, well done......The down side for me is the sound !!, I have watched your other videos from previous years and the sound quality is superb, I know then that Bruce Welch had outside sound people, this time it was the in house system that was crap, I was at Lakeside this year and it was the sound that let it down.
If Lakeside are going to do it again next year they need to get their act together, on talking with loads of others who were there they feel the same!
Once again well Done Phil....... :D

I heard that it was one of the bands that did the sound and they were placed to right of the stage (as you look at it) and in that position, you'll never get it just right in such a large hall.

For me It was the Rhythm guitarist in most of the bands were too prominent and trebly - I said to the guy on the desk at the time up in the balcony but he only controlled the lighting  Never got this trouble with Bruce who always got his balance just right.
I agree they need to sort out the sound for next year.

Cheers Phil

Bearing in mind that the rhythm guitarists were placed on the left side of the stage and the sound desk on the right (as you face the stage), probably explains the imbalance. Bruce had the sound guys at the back and almost dead centre (next to the food) where you will hear a more balanced output sound.

I thought it was fine from where I was sitting, could hear everything fine. Only downside, was when PT turned up Zoe's amp, it was slightly overcooked and the amps natural sound was maybe louder than it should have been, making the balance slightly harder to achieve from the sound desk.
A big difference in size of the comparative venues though.

The sound at Shadowsfix was excellent all around the venue.

I too felt the sound was good at Shadowsfix, even to the side of the stage where I was sitting. Agreed the Lakeside sound was not as good as previous years.
