SOUTH WEST SHADOWS CLUB (EXETER) 27th OCTOBER 2013

Postby Garystrat » 18 Oct 2013, 19:06

Hi Everyone

A reminder that our next SWSC meeting is on the 27th October at THE EXETER COURT HOTEL, there is easy access on the outskirts of EXETER from either direction at Kennford near the Southern end of the M5 off the A38.

South West Shadows Club is for those who enjoy playing or listening to Shadows/style music with some 50's/60's music and "Rock n' Roll" for good measure!

We form mix and match band sets on the day from members who are able and comfortable with playing as part of a group. There is no formal band member structure, which allows players of mixed ability to gain experience and comfortably fit in without feeling out of place.

Experienced player or novice, we have a friendly atmosphere and all that is required to get you up and playing to backing tracks or with the band.

Another superb meeting at the Southwest Shadows Club.
Last month I had the pleasure of playing with Justin Daish and this month with Owen Laughton - both of which are truly incredible lead guitarists, if I closed my eyes I could have easily believed Hank himself was in the room!
The atmosphere at yesterday's meeting was so good absolutely every player seemed to play at their best and many of the non-players were on their feet dancing and singing along!
Thanks again to Gary, Eddie and the rest of the team for yet another fantastic Sunday afternoon.

Hi Neil

Thank you on behalf of everyone you mention, it's the talent and enthusiasm of up and coming players such as yourself that makes the club experience we enjoy today!

The superb playing of Justin and Owen is inspirational, we are indeed very fortunate to have people of their calibre blending in seamlessly, helping and supporting other members.

Best regards

Gary
