Let Me Be The One as an instrumental would sound like something off the "String Of Hits" album.

I rest my case.

'String of Hits' sounds OK to me.

Hi Justin,

I know where you're coming from with this.......I've never been able to remember any lyrics, because the melody has always been more important to me.
People could never understand this, but it seems perfectly logical to me!

All of this recent mention of the Eurovision song contest from day's gone by prompts me to suggest that the entrants of days gone by, are indisputably more memorable than those of today. Without checking Wikipedia, what song won this year ?, What was the British entry ?. Am I wrong ?

Eurovision was a major annual event at one time and we looked forward to it. Now it has become the joke of the year!! And to listen to BBC radio presenters esp Cris Evans and Ken Bruce gibbering on about it in between each piece of music they play as if it was the event of the year makes it even more cringe worthy.

This year winner was from Denmark :

UK came 19th (with Bonnie Tyler) :

France came 23rd !

As I wrote before, the main concern is not to win to avoid having to set it up the following year... ;)
