Does anyone know what guitar Hank used on the jazzy guitar solos on the Cliff Dream e/p? Sounds like a strat but could be any good single coil guitar....THANKS.

It is said (by Jet) to have been Hank's Gretsch 6122 Country Gentleman which was used on those tracks. It certainly doesn't sound like a Fender.

No need to pay £400 for a Gretsch - you could get a very closely similar sound out of a secondhand 335 for £1400...
