Where IS my REAL PLAYER library??

Postby Stratpicker » 20 Nov 2009, 13:43

Now this really is a Computer Luddite question – I download Phil and Marcelos YouTube videos using Real Player and I can see them and play them using the Real Player viewer.
BUT – where are they stored?? I would like to convert them to .wmv (I use Prism) so I can put them in my Walkman but cant find the actual files to extract them.
Can anyone help?
Cheers

Are you on XP or Vista Ian?

You need to use Search or Find from your Start button - bottom left of screen - and use the titles as the search phrase... once they've been found, you should be able to see the location... probably on the C: drive somewhere within Program Files, Real Player... (just a guess)

Hi Dave
I'm on XP.
Not at home at the moment.
I clicked on the Real Player folder in Program Files and it doesnt appear to have a Library sub-folder.
If I try to copy the file by right clicking the file in Real Player, it doesnt do it?? :?
I'll give SEARCH that a whirl tonight and see if it tells me.
cheers

Hi SlappySticker, long time no see

Point at the title and right-click, then "Find Location".

This works on Xp and Vista.

What I do to convert the files is right click on the track and there are various options, one is Locate file, Move file.
I move the file to my desktop and then convert it from there with the software, I use free video converter, you can convert the FLV files to MP3 or any other format of choice.
Take care
