Thanks for all the replies and interesting posts. You lot really are a mine of information. And thanks also for replying to my questions on other threads. I don't think I always have acknowledged them. They really are very helpful to me indeed.

The Maxi single I referred to in the original post must be quite collectable I guess. It makes me wonder what motivated Decca to issue that particular version.

I remember to have read somewhere that the inclusion of this version happened by incident.

I suppose an accident would indeed explain it well !

I suppose, in a way, it is good news for me that the Kent Walton versions are unissued on CD. It means I don't have to spend lots of time and effort frustratedly trying to acquire something rare, because it doesn't exist !

Maybe one day they'll be issued.

I have a related question, which I suspect will have a similar answer to my original one :

Have the two Jet Harris tracks "My Lady" and "You Don't Live Twice" from his 1967 Fontana single ever been issued on a CD, and if so which CD ?

No and no.

And there's no reason for them not to be included on Jet Harris or Jet/Tony compilations. Both Decca and Fontana have found their way into the ownership of Universal.

Also, for what it's worth, side 1, track 3 (A Forever Kind Of Love by Mike Preston) is a recording unique to this particular Honey Hit Parade compilation, whereas all the other tracks (except Mark Wynter's My Cinderella) were previously issued on singles.
