And an under 16 can get a free ticket with a full paying adult (£15). A good way to be introduced to instrumental music!

Hi All

Zoe has said that there were only about 100 people in the audience for the show. Please make the effort to get tickets to see them at one of the concerts. They are keeping OUR music alive.

Happy New Year
Jim

Yes, attendance was comparatively low. So many contributory factors. The Crickettes are still 'new' and not widely known as yet.....just a few short days after Xmas, New year etc..plus, the weather was appalling. But.....the quality of the music, the sound & the lighting was FANTASTIC!! These girls deserve a wider / bigger audience. They certainly gave their all during a fabulous evening of Instrumental guitar music. They are going from strength to strength & will (hopefully) continue to 'build' during this year. I will review the show in a separate post. Meanwhile....I would urge all lovers of Instrumental Music, Shads fans, Ventures fans, Spotnicks fans, guitar fans etc....to come and support the Crickettes at their forthcoming concerts at Camberley and Maidstone. Bob Dore will be doing the sound at Camberley - so I know that he will be plugging the show (he's already a 'Crickettes Convert'). It's a great Instros Evening. See you there??

Rob :D

We should do everything we can to support bands like the Crickettes. They not only keep the music we love alive, but they do it with consummate skill and musicality. Zoe is such a talented musician (though she would be the last one to tell you that!), but she has somehow brought together an outstanding all-girl back-line. Sadly, I live too far away to get to most of their gigs, but I definitely urge anyone who can to support them and, in return, have a great night out.

It was a great show, two sets of instrumentals superbly played. And well done to the guy who travelled down from Newcastle just for this performance!
