On the Leo's Den site, it's written : "awaiting confirmation of bonus tracks" !

A mail order ovr here in Germany lists the following bonus tracks:
- Apache
- F.B.I. (live at the Colosseum Theatre)

Thanks Ulrich

Not as exciting as I hoped, I'm sure they could have done better. If they are correct for the UK release I think I will give it a miss.

Thanks Again

Ulrich

- F.B.I. (live at the Colosseum Theatre), that's what was on the EP recorded in Johannesburg (1961) with poor sound quality.

Difficult to see how. As far as I'm aware, everything that can be released has been released so, if not those tracks, it would be others that many people already have.

"Bonus tracks" simply means additional tracks that were not on the albums which provide the main listing.

It doesn't mean or imply "unreleased" tracks. In many cases (especially in the jazz world), though, one might expect bonus tracks to be:

(a) out-takes (whether alternative versions or songs which were eventually not originally used) from the album or

(b) other recordings from the same general time period.

But there are none of those available.

JN

By the way: the "remastered" claim on the cover shot almost certainly means taken from vinyl.

Alternatively, it might mean copied from EMI's CD version, but we can't say so because digital re-masters carry their own separate copyright.

Cynical? Moi?

I don't even take these kind of budget releases seriously. Even though they are only a few pounds, I think it's a waste of money. I'd rather spend some more money on a new official CD release on the Parlophone label, which features some unreleased tracks, along the lines of the recent expanded edition of "The Early Years" box set. I have the original UK EMI vinyl releases of the first two studio albums, as well as the 1999 UK EMI remasters on CD and those are far more valuable to me.
