Albert Lee

Just received my tickets for the Albert Lee 70th Birthday concert on Sunday March 2nd. It's means a train trip to London but that doesn't matter as I'm told some of Alberts special guests will now be Brian Bennett, Bruce Welch and James Burton. Should be good. http://albertlee.co.uk/home#bg-celeb

Albert's coming to Hessle on 20th May but, unfortunately, without his superb birthday guests. It'll still be great to see him in action.

Extraordinary line up of guests.

BBC Four showed the 1983 Everly Brothers reunion gig recently, Albert, along with Graham Jarvis, Mark Griffiths and Martin Jenner, was in their band!!!

Albert will be playing two numbers with Bruce, Mark and Brian (Apache and Wonderful Land) and the event, which sold out back in the autumn, will be filmed for DVD.

Hi Alan,

That's great news about the DVD as I was unfortunate in not getting a ticket for this marvellous event.

Cheers,

Bob

A DVD is indeed good news - I only found out too late to do anything about it, and having already arranged to come down for the (now cancelled) Mo Foster event...

A (very lucky) friend of mine is going. He got the ticket a couple of days ago. Apparently a friend of his had a spare ticket going begging...
