In summer 1968, I spent a few days in London and went to the Marquee alsmost every evening. The sound was the loudest I have ever heard !
I saw there "The Nice" (with Keith Emerson) and "Jethro Tull".

By a bizarre coincidence, I went into 'town' yesterday afternoon, after posting my last message, and there were a couple of guys 'busking' in the town centre. I say busking - they had mikes and amps and were just doing those odd 'drum and bass' noises. Personally, I think there comes a point when it ceases to be 'busking' and is just a bl**dy nuisance! About 100 yards down the road there was another guy with a sax playing the theme to the Pink Panther. Also accompanied by a backing track coming out of a speaker. Oh well, times change, I guess...

You will need a tour truck & crew just to go out busking next!
