NEW CD FROM HANK

In the pipeline we hear more info on the new Hank CD. Simply called "HANK" and for release in June if all goes well, and this will NOT be gypsy jazz. Still can't get official confirmation of full track listing and don't want to mention the one we have until it is confirmed by the record label as these things tend to change. Glad it's not going to be just a download this time and will be available on physical CD. More info as and when we get it.

Great news if newly recorded music - and a nice surprise! All we'd need then is the W&B Bennett John Barry project to come out as well and we'd have a great 'Shadows' year again!

Actually I rather like Hanks interpretations of existing songs. Wont cal them "covers" because to me a "cover" meas a Copy.
Would be nice to have mixed acoustic and Strat on the CD - a sort of combo of Guitar Player and Guitar Man.

I hope it will be mostly if not all original material, but I think the record company in any case would like to see derived material. So if it's a mix of original and derived material, just like on the "Into The Light" album, which I think is one of Hank's best solo albums, it will be great too.

This is fantastic news - was expecting it to be a 'just in time for Christmas' release so I'm amazed it will be out this soon having only read about it a few weeks ago on this forum.

Of course if it turns out to be Hank Plays the Wurzels we'll all be disappointed.

I'm sure it will be a big seller - as would be a new Shads album if they ever got round to that.

I wonder if Hank will do a few shows to promote it...
