Great news. It doesn't really matter to me whether the material is old or new - I'm looking forward to hearing some great playing and professionalism as ever.

Wow. No expense spent on that cover then. Doesn't fill me with confidence for the material included.

Now where have I seen that cover before?

Ah, yes . . . .

Back in 1999, Chris Watts asked me to design a cover for his Red Shadows album and this is what I produced.

It has a certain similarity, methinks?

Too late for Django's Castle to be a 'freebie' second disc I suppose - would have been a good way to introduce his gypsy jazz style.

It doesn't seem to be generating much excitement here, why is that , are we all too old ?

Well, let me try to generate some excitement. I have bought "Django's Castle" in the FLAC-format and I think it's quite a good album, which should be released on CD in Europe. Maybe it can be advertised as "the free album", just like The Shadows' "'Live' At Abbey Road", which in the UK was given away for free with the studio album "Life In The Jungle" in 1982.

I suspect there would be a good deal more excitement if it was a Shads album. I am probably not alone in thinking it's a shame it isn't!

I'm reserving judgement till I see a track listing, this could end up just being a compilation of stuff already available
