Confirms why I've never watched it. Judges unbelievably rude and rather showing themselves up to be the boors I always suspected they were.

Poor steve, never appeared to stand a chance, what an ignorant bunch, the panel of judges appear to be, apart from David Walliams, I can quite understand why I never look at the show . Good luck for the future, Steve, at least you had a go !

Total rudeness from Cowell and the two women - I guess taking the piss makes good tv. But what a good sport you are, Steve, for giving it a go and not taking yourself too seriously!

I have never, ever watched this or any of those 'X Factor' shows, the media focus too much on the judges anyway.
Maybe someone should organise a Shadows Factor? :D

Let's be honest, that shower wouldn't recognize talent if it bit them on the bum!
The two 'ladies' discussing their lunch was the height of rudeness and Mr Cowell's attitude stinks.
David Walliams joining in with the audience showed that he has better manners and taste than the other 3 all lumped together.
Well done Steve, you came out of it with more integrity than 3 of the judges did.

Typical Cowell attitude, if there not singers I'm not interested no kudos for me or recording.

In 50 years Mr Cowell and the ladies will be totally forgotten or at best held up as examples of the awful, vacuous TV talent show led music business that inexplicably flowered in the early 21st.

Hank and the Shadows' place in pop history is assured and will outlast them.

I've seen Steve play at our Kent Shadows Club several times. Without any doubt Steve has loads of talent, unlike the so called panel of .... Actually I've never seen any of those shows, so this clip was a first. No I won't be watching!

Just watched this and was not surprised at the judges reaction.

Steve would have fared better doing an up-tempo number or perhaps even a short medley in my opinion, but at least he got on the stage & had the full slot thanks to David

Where the judges deliberately rude ? to me it just seemed like the usual "show me something different I'm bored" routine. Simon C has been forced to eat his words on a few occasions but Sadly Steve couldn't manage to get through to the panel majority.

Can anyone explain exactly what any musical qualification any of these numpties on the panel actually have?
Most of them wouldn't know the difference between a crochet or a quaver except you might eat one out of a packet!!!
What an insult to many hard working musicians and professional entertainers who learned a true musical apprenticeship in years gone by.
Steve ,you should have given Cowell and his pals similar discourtesy!!!
