Bless you Steve for trying.
I watched this just on youtube and it fully justifies why I never watch this dreadful programme that, as has just been said, is more about the talentless judges than anything else.
Appalling manners .

Anybody can sing, or at least try to sing, not many can make a guitar sing. wot a bunch of vile money grabbing pigs they are. I HATE that program and them so much.

Interestingly enough, I knew his 2 step brothers Michael & Tony Scrase back in the 60s when I lived in Borehamwood!

Putting it into perspective. Frankly, if Hank B Marvin was standing up on that stage instead of Steve, he would have probably got the same reaction.

Well done mate for trying.

In my opinion, Simon Cowell is the Anti-Christ of music. He is far, far, far too powerful and influential and has zero taste or talent of his own. He has done more to ruin 'proper' music than virtually anyone I can think of. To him it's just a way to make money and NOTHING else. The sooner the public get tired of him and vote him off our screens the better!!

Steve would have fared better doing an up-tempo number or perhaps even a short medley in my opinion, but at least he got on the stage & had the full slot thanks to David

Where the judges deliberately rude ? to me it just seemed like the usual "show me something different I'm bored" routine. Simon C has been forced to eat his words on a few occasions but Sadly Steve couldn't manage to get through to the panel majority.

Dick.

Considering the acts that preceded Steve's slot, I agree with Dick - wrong choice of material. The female violin player and the magician with the doves knew how to make an impact - and they did. It's no good blaming the panel even though they are a bunch of assholes, look at the audience.

Not sure if this was the 'Susan Boyle' show or whether it was one of the others? But no matter my point is that the judges showed right there the types of people they are.

Their real or feigned 'amazed' reaction at hearing her voice 'for the first time' showed for all to see that in their view as she wouldn't have made the Spice Girls line-up on looks she surely couldn't sing, and therefore she was expected to simply show herself up - in fact if it was a feigned reaction it was even more damning of them as they actually decided that they wanted to be seen like that. Sadly their audience thinks like the wrestling days of Kent Walton fans ie not too deeply.

Well brave for going on, but why would anybody playing guitar instrumental music go on the show?

Most people I know, who are outside the Shadows community, groan at the thought of music of this style.

A young neighbour of mine, who is a very good at what he does, search Alex Dumore on Youtube and form your own conclusion, got knocked out at the second audition.

The plain fact of the show is that they look for someone who is very good and different the rest are just cannon fodder to draw laughs, it makes, in their eyes, good television, and whilst viewing figures may not be what they were there are still impressive

BGT, X Factor, The Voice rely on the cruelty factor it's what the 6 million or so viewers want.

There is nothing wrong with enjoying listening to, or playing what we do, but to think it will be big like it was late 50's early 60's is not facing reality, it no longer has mass appeal

Well done Steve I remember the panel had stated if the Beatles would not have got through their panel of experts (ex = past it spirits = drip under pressure) so you are in excellent company. No excuse for them being so rude
