Simon Cowell is the antichrist and has destroyed the UK music industry with his faceless, one hit wonder, boyband rubbish.
He is greedy and cares about no one but himself, he's only interested in you if you're making him money, once that stops he throws you on the scrapheap and won't take your calls anymore.
He's a total w*****!

I can never make up my made about David Walliams, he's done great things for charity, but I often feel he uses the acts on stage to boulster his own performance as a judge.

The girls are short sighted and only like younger acts, Cowell is a hard nose business man, and there's nothing wrong with that, but Walliams (probably?) takes the piss.

Hi all

Thanks for all the comments it really is appreciated i went on the original audition to see what it was like i never expected to get on the show it just went from there i knew it was likely to be manipulated to look and sound a certain way. Part of the process of it involved filling in forms all about my up bringing etc almost looking for a sob story or a joke they didn't find either, i first auditioned with bright eyes and when i was chosen to go on the show i chose wind beneath my wings to fulfil a promise i made to my dad, my dad supports me all the time he is my wind beneath my wings and if that was the only chance i got i stood my beliefs, i play guitar for my own personal enjoyment and i love it. Don't believe everything that was on tv. David walliams didn't even ask me the questions at the actual audtion that is how much its scripted. I was asked in one of the interviews where i saw myself in 10 years time and my answer was to meet my heroes the shads, i got told that was no good i had to say i was going to be doing sell out tours worldwide etc, i didn't believe it but its what i was told to say. The whole thing has opened my eyes to the showbiz world its not what it seems but i had a good time and my Dad now has a lasting memory of seeing me perform his song so for me its nissin accomplished.

Proud of you, mate!!
You were very brave to go on a Show like that. The playing was excellent. Given the multi millions that they have to produce the Show, wouldnt you have thought they would have had a fair Go at getting it Mixed properly.
Cowell not interested because you are not female and a Bimbo that will make him loadsamoney. Talent doesnt have a monetary value - something which seems to have escaped them all.
You did a superb job, Steve.
See you at Warwick again sometime?
cheers

More or less confirms what we all knew or at least suspected about this show and others like it. Which is why I never watch BGT or any of the others. Nothing more to add to what I said earlier about Cowell (Plenty I COULD say, but I'd get arrested.) The guy has no shame.

Hi ian

Thanks for your comments the mixing is all part of the story aswell, i wasn't given a sound check etc i was thrown on and that was it i set the patches on the q2 on the stage in front of the audience, the sound was ok at the venue but its been quietened and mixed to make it work with the bgt story. If you notice when the ladies are talking about there lunch the mix is suddenly better because their mics picked up exactly the sound and they couldn't edit that.

In spite of it all i don't intend to stop playing its my hobby and il hopefully be at Warwick in may fingers crossed

the thing about Simon Cowell is that he is in the music business to make money, if the act is not commercial he has no interest, there is nothing wrong with that.

Unfortunately and talking gerneralities here, there are people who go on these shows who believe they have more star quality than they really have.

Cowell bursts bubbles which do need bursting to save people from making themselves figures of fun.

This piece was played well, the sound quality, on my TV, wasn't great, but you had the fun, and from the word go, guitar music (sadly) is never going to be a winner.

Susan Boyle whilst seen as the acception wasn't actually the winner, Diversity were.

Having said all that I enjoyd it and it was only one of two acts I found worth watching, the other was the guy with the doves.

I've been professional in show business for 48 years and can assure you that it's not all like that Steve.
During that time I've appeared on several TV shows and they are not all run in the way BGT is.
I know a few excellent acts who never got as far as you did, I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole as it is so corrupt. They know what they're doing, it's more about making TV for the masses at the atristes expence by way of letting them make fools of themselves or ridiculing them. Rarely will they let you shine in the way you could do if you had control.
As someone already said, you got your exposure so use it wisely.

I saw this on You Tube after seeing it posted on the EFTP forum. I never watch anything involving Simon Cowell on TV. The shows aren't about talent at all, they're about Simon Cowell, and Jim got it dead right - he didn't see enough $$$$$$$$. That still doesn't excuse the appalling display of bad manners he showed, nor the even greater ignorance of the two airheads deliberately starting a conversation of their own. If I'd been in Steve's shoes I'd have had great difficulty in controlling my temper. It'll never come, but he's owed a very public apology for that behaviour.

In disgust,
Len
