Ah! That explains it! - Its "Bruce Welch's SHADOWMANIA!
It says so on their Strapline, so it must be true - and all for an extra £25 on top of the £35 for the Saturday Show
And there was me, looking for "Celebration of The Shadows" when all the time it was "Bruce Welch's Shadowmania".
"Celebration of The Shadows on the Lakeside website makes NO mention of a Friday / Saturday morning Free For All.
I wonder - has Bruce given his blessing and permission for the use of his name and show "title".

What sort of venues are the other Shadows get-togethers done in around the country like Pipeline etc ?
Halls, hotels what ?
We must have one in the Midlands.

The event in Newcastle, is held in the Federation Brewery suite with plenty accommodation nearby. Scarborough has the use of Rugby Club facilities close to the edge of town, again plenty hotels to choose from.
Not sure which other clubs have annual events, both of the above are over a Saturday and Sunday.
Pipeline is a one day event held in Met Police Club facility at Bushey, close to M1 & M25.

Are you saying that Bruce WILL be there on either day and that he has put his name to the Event?

As I understand it (and I am sure that I understand it), Bruce was not present for any part of the 2013 Lakeside "Celebration of the Shadows".

What I am puzzling over is the use by Lakeside of the "Bruce Welch's Shadowmania" logo.
Certainly odd if Bruce was no it at the previous event either.

Who's Alan? And why should I care what he is reading?
The way I see it is that its £25 for Friday night /Saturday morning for the privilege of playing (maybe) a couple of tunes (agreed lots of camaraderie too) and then £35 + £1 booking fee for a Saturday Show that may or not be Bruce Welch's Shadowmania (depending on which of their websites you go to), without Bruce, or likely any other "Shadow" being there and with, so far, no published bands in attendance with only 4 months to go! :?
For all the Punters know, the Top bands may all be booked elsewhere by now.
Thats a lot of money for a No-Celebrity appearance Shadows Bash.
Plus Hotel bills for 2 nights.
