And there I was thinking that Hank must not be cool enough for Jools!!!

Blimey, maybe he'll actually be having The Shadows on next... ;)

If I've read the scedules correctly, it will be necessary to record one or both TV and Radio at 10:00 pm on Tuesday - Bruce Welch is on radio 2 in a show about a new version of "Rock Around The Clock" and Hank will be on BBC2 tv.........is this a coincidence or what?
Good to know that there are shows worth tuning in to, did anybody else see the repeat about 50s music with Bruce, and Licorice, also Vince Eager and Cherry Wainer? :geek:

I bet they ask Albert Lee to play rhythm for Hank and announce it as 'The Shadows' . . .
Much too difficult to get Bruce and Brian there too, of course.

Why would it be difficult to book Brian and Bruce?

Perhaps Hank will take the opportunity to mention to Jools about that guy he knows who used to sing with Hank's group a bit - you know, that chap who's had a few hits, got a knighthood and kicked open the doors for all these other pop singers that came after him. He'd be very available for Jools' show anytime. Now if I can only remember his name....

I am in Greece at the moment so won't get any opportunity to see this :( However, Jools is into jazz so perhaps Hank may also play some Django style material. Just a thought.

Hank is obviously here to promote his new solo album, so very little chance of seeing The Shadows reform for Jools Holland show I guess. Pity!
