East Yorkshire Guitar Club Annual Gala

Postby old romantic » 04 May 2014, 20:12

Hi all,
The 17th annual Shadows Music Gala this year takes place over the weekend of 14th/15th June at the usual venue of Silver Royd Rugby Club, Scalby Road, Scarborough YO13 ONL. There is parking for 300 cars so plenty of room.
We have at least seven Shadows bands from all over the country playing, as well as lots of play time for individual players whether they want to play to backing tracks or with a live band. There will be a full licensed bar and hot & cold food available throughout the two days.
Start times are Saturday 11am-5pm & Sunday 10-30am-5pm. Ticket prices are £10 for the two days or £6 for one day. ( Good value! )
As usual for those who like their fish & chips we will be booking Walkers Fish restaurant from 8pm on Saturday evening. Please see me to reserve a place.
Also for those who want more music, on Friday evening June 13th from 7pm 'Shazam & Ian Geast' & 'Shadows Music' will be playing at the Memorial Hall in Pickering for the towns 60's weekend. Tickets available on the door.
We look forward to seeing you there. Any problems or help needed please message me.
Thanks
Linda

Well there's just a month left to plan your trip to this great Gala weekend!

Having attended quite a few times now travelling up from the Westcountry I can't recommend it highly enough (but do bring your passports to gain entry to Yorkshire). ;)

All this @ £10 for two days.
Superb venue, plenty of accommodation and glorious fish and chips.
Two days of non stop, friendly, well organised live music.
You can't get better.

I hear Yorkshire is now a part of France! Something to do with a few blokes riding around on bikes in June. Probably be an EU regulation that flat caps have to be ditched in favour of Berets!
