This is a very sad thing to have happened to Brian, who has dedicated all his life to music and has contributed so much.

When more is known about the cause of the fire, I feel it would be useful to have it mentioned here. All of us here have collected musical items that are of value to us. If the cause of Brian's fire is something that we could guard against then that would be valuable. Future safety comes from learning from the past.

So sorry that this has happened, just awful. I really feel for Brian, but also for all of his family for whom this must have been extremely traumatic too.

Many thanks for the update Phil, Brian has been my inspiration ever since he joined The Shadows, as he has to many others, and I cannot begin to imagine the feeling of such a loss.

I'm glad that Brian has managed to throw himself back into his work. Probably the best thing to do at a time like this. Nothing can replace what he's lost, of course, but at least he can move on and continue to write and record.
