Wouldn't that be something?

It would be fantastic, but how would you allocate the tickets, David? I don't mean the tables, just entry to the venue.

Would previous attenders get priority? Well-known fans from around the world?

It could be a problem...

Sounds like we've wished so hard that it's actually going to happen. Please could someone make a definite confirmation of time, venue etc. so I can make travel arrangements.

PS I take it we can dictate the setlists that Hank, Bruce, Brian plus Jet, Licorice, Alan Jones, Alan Tarney, Marvin Welch Farrar etc etc will rehearse and perform at this concert 'for the fans'.

PPS When will the next one be for all the fans who couldn't get tickets for the first?

How many people can fit into the Lakeside Shadowmania venue?! 200? 300? 400? But why does Shadowmania have to be held at Lakeside?

Why not think in terms of a concert hall with a capacity of 2,000 or 3,000 !!! That would still be nice and intimate compared to the mega arenas that seat 20,000 people . . .

As for dreaming, at least that is harmless and does not offend anyone, or at least it shouldn't. The Shadows, in the twilight of their career and in the autumn of their lives, should be thrilled to have such faithful and "greedy" fans, who only want to see more of them, because -- that's what fans are for! If it weren't for the fans, there would have been no concerts in the first place; if it weren't for the fans, very few people today would even know who the Shadows are. It's the fans that are giving The Shadows a new lease on life! The fans and the Shadows are a symbiosis; we can't do without them, and they can't do without us!

I thought this tour was a last concert for the fans..Why not ask them for a kidney...or would it be enough ? Better still.....Lets plan the 60th anniversary for them and that way we can all have a moan in advance.....

We are allowed to dream, I guess.
I also dream of winning the lottery, and buy a ticket every week.
That's not gonna happen either :)

If we are not to be granted a final concert, how about one last album? I am sure that we would all be able to argue about the contents but for me it could be a mixture of some of the more obscure tracks from the past combined with new material and maybe some tracks where the band felt like reworking the final result. I would really love to see the Shadows team up with a Producer like Rick Rubin and produce an album that gave them back Credibility and Critical acclaim in the way that Johnny Cash and Neil Diamond benefitted from their work with Mr Rubin. The way that the band are playing now sees them in perhaps the form of their lives and it would be a shame if they let that go to waste. Maybe we could call it "Dream On"!
