Knebworth: concert in memory of Stephen Swann: Sat 28 June

Fancy a night out with some of the music from our era? If you are within travelling distance of Knebworth (near Stevenage, Herts) a bunch of his musical mates are putting on a gig of Shadows, Cliff, Elvis, Beatles and other hits in tribute to the late Stephen Swann, well-remembered guitarist of this site and many Shads clubs. Stephen died of a stroke nearby 4 years ago and we’re hoping to raise money for the Stroke Association.

We're looking forward to a great evening. There’ll be a bar, a raffle and a dance floor.

It’s at Knebworth Village Hall, Park Road, Knebworth, Stevenage SG3 6PF. Just a few minutes walk up the hill from Knebworth Station. Tickets £10 can be reserved from Margaret Webb on 01438 811795 or on the door.

Hey Billyboygretsch you should have popped up and said hi! Thanks for coming and same appreciation to other members of this forum who took the trouble to support us. We had a great evening.
I don't know the total sum raised yet but as soon as I do I'll post the result.
Stephen's family were very happy with the memorial, which is the main thing.
