I find music DVDs (well, live concerts) hard going.

Live concert DVDs / Blu-Rays are one of the few things I could watch several times. I have a home cinema system with HD projector, Blu-Ray and surround sound system, so it is really like beeing there again! :D

The same for me, although I don't have a projector, but a large 55" LCD HD TV. And of course I have both the "Final Tour" and the "Final Reunion" on DVD and Blu Ray...

Had I not have been watching Metallica at Glastonbury (on BBC2, not there in person!!) and had I not have got two copies on DVD already, then I would certainly have watched! I was pleasantly surprised to see the attached box-out in the TV listings magazine. I note that it was shown in HD. I remember a good few years ago there was a big argument on the previous Shadows forum as to whether or not it was recorded in HD. This rather proves it!

For those who missed it, I gather it is repeated on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock!

Rock on!!!

What is a "classic, no-nonsense" set? Was it "iconic"? It's not about playing an "iconic" set, it's all about playing a "classic, no-nonsense" set. Was it "beyond classic"? Really?!

Wouldn't get me within a million miles of using a cliché.

Tabloids = clichés. They're the price of publicity :)
How to counter them? Well, at the end of the day, if we play a straight bat, keep our shoulders to the wheel and bend over backwards to be flexible, we may be able to take one step forward and two steps back. Let's run that one up the flagpole and see who salutes!
