Rob Bradford was on Radio Berkshire today talking to Mike Read and gave our concert at The Kenton, Henley a plug at the end. Go to Radio Berkshire web site and it is about 3/4 the way into Mikes show.

Yes...Mike surprised me by wanting to talk more about Joe Meek! (This was all unscripted and not rehearsed..after weeks of trying..my 'invitation' came out of the blue & without much warning!!). I just had to 'go for it'..right at the very end. By the way..I also got every question right in Mike's Quiz!! (No prizes & no..I did not know the questions beforehand!!! I spoke to Mike very, very briefly 'off air'...he was definitely interested in the Kenton Theatre concert. I am going to send him a little 'info package'.

Thanks Rob let him have the DVD and we will replace your copy when we see you. It would wonderful if Mike does decided to come along and maybe say something at the start of the show about Jet as he knew him so well from when they both lived Cheltenham area. It could be a boost to numbers if he also mentions it again closer to the date. We certainly need all the support we can get for this show so we can raise some decent money for Jet's Charity Cancer Research. Thank you Zoe

I think that he might well come along as it is so close to him & he does love the music. We shall see!!!! Bests....Rob

Hi Zoe
If Mike Read comes and you want some extra publicity, take along a spare guitar - it's not unknown for him to do a guest spot, like the one in this picture

Yes, that's Rob Bradford hand-clapping on the extreme left-hand edge of the picture!

Mike Read is an excellent guitarist and singer. He joined the Triumphs for 3 songs. I provided backing / harmony vocs etc. I have sent Mike further info / details about July 19th, the -J H M F and a Crickettes DVD. Here's hoping!!
